Family House is part of the Supervised Visitation Network (SVN), a multi-national non-profit membership organization that is literally a network of agencies and individuals who are interested in assuring that children can have safe, conflict-free access to parents with whom they do not reside.
Family House provides a homelike setting for parents and children to visit with one another under the watchful eye of staff. There are six visit rooms filled with games, toys, and books for them to enjoy. Staff documents the interactions and provides the documentation to respective attorneys or caseworkers. Staff supervises to ensure the safety of each child, while allowing each family the opportunity to continue to grow. The documentation assists the court in determining when the families can be reunited.
Family House provides a neutral location for divorced or separated parents to exchange their child(ren) during scheduled visits. The parents wait in separate rooms of the house and Staff walks the child(ren) from one parent to another, thereby avoiding face-to-face conflicts which often victimize the children.
